The Five of Swords The Five of Swords represents betrayal, subterfuge, or someone who cheats or uses an unfair advantage to win. The card warns that we must look out for ourselves and try to claim what is rightfully ours, yet hurting others in our own self-interest will lead to a shallow victory.The card depicts a woman who is literally stabbed in the back as her assailant takes off with three swords. He seems pleased with his victory, yet looks back at what he's left behind for his own personal gain. |
